The new home for Neurelis overlooks Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve and is a first-generation office space built into the hill. The views offer a powerful connection to nature for their employees which promotes wellness, health, happiness, and progress. Being a first-generation build-out, Neurelis is making their mark on this space. In older buildings, the concrete floor and foundation show the raw scars and history from the occupants that came before, including nail holes, stains, and filled trenches. In this case, the designer proposed to leave areas of the new concrete exposed to express this new beginning and Neurelis’ initial steps on their journey as a company.
