Pacific Northwest Cryo EM CenterBack to projects
OHSU received an NIH U24 Grant to renovate and expand the capabilities of the current microscopy lab for the designation of a National Center for cryoElectron Microscopy (NCCEM), one of three national centers established by the NIH to carry out ground-breaking research. The NIH has invested $128 million to establish all three centers and expand the use of this Nobel Prize winning method of imaging. The NIH is putting an additional $1.5 million toward training users. The project, completed by ORANGEWALLstudios, was designed for work to be completed with adjacent operational microscopy rooms and an active vivarium.
